Fifty Year Park

1000 Bruxelles, Belgique

Description:

The park of the fiftieth anniversary is not only a complex of historical buildings in the shape of a horseshoe, but also a favorite place for holidaymakers. After all, there are three museums on the territory of the park: the Museum of Automir, the Military Museum and the Museum of the Fiftieth Anniversary, as well as the Castle of Human Passion.

Like most of Belgium’s grandiose projects, the park is also the epitome of King Leopold II, who donated it to the locals to celebrate the fiftieth anniversary of Belgium’s independence. And at the same time and timed to the National Exhibition of 1880.

On the territory of 30 hectares there are many beautiful ponds, gardens and even waterfalls. But most visitors prefer to capture the Arc de Triomphe at the entrance, whose height reaches 50 meters. The symbol of a prosperous and rich Belgium, which speaks for itself that everything in this country is good.

However, many of the older generation still remember that it was here, during the Second World War, that the Park was used as a common field for growing vegetables.
