Paneurhythmia

Description:

The sacral dance of paneurhythmia
Paneurhythmia is a sacred dance that combines movement, music and song. The performers move in pairs in a circle in which five more live rays are inscribed. They perform certain movements, following the rhythm of a given melody, and sing.

Etymologically, the word Paneurhythmia means “universal, cosmic rhythm”. This truly cosmic dance can be seen in all its brilliance every year on August 18 in Mount Rila by the Seven Lakes of Rila. Here from all over Bulgaria, as well as from the United States, Canada, Russia and many other countries of the world come fans of Beins Duno (Petra Dynov), who in his time (early 20th century) developed the foundations of the teaching of physical and mental self-improvement of man.

He wrote almost all the songs and melodies that are performed to the accompaniment of the violin. These are simple melodies that, in combination with a set of 28 paneurhythmic exercises, have a beneficial effect on the human psyche.

Followers of the teachings of P. Dynov usually perform this dance every day (from March 22 to September 22) at sunrise, trying to find the most open and high place. With its natural resources, Mount Rila (especially the area near the Seven Lakes of Rila) provides the best opportunities for this. That is why the gathering of fans of this teaching on Rila lasts, as a rule, several days.
