Balchik: Maria Romania's favorite city

The ancient city of Balchik, founded by the Thracians, today is the third most important port in Bulgaria. Of course, this is not what attracts tourists. The historical center of the city is a mixture of different eras, from antiquity to Romanian rule, as for more than half a century this part of Bulgaria belonged to the Romanian Kingdom.
