Queen Mary's Palace
Description:
The Palace of Queen Mary is a modest, tasteful white villa, in which the Romanian Queen Maria once lived. The palace was built by Italian architects in 1937. Now the complex of the villa and park has been turned into a luxurious Botanical Garden, where one of the largest cactus gardens in Europe is located.
Once the residence of the Queen was visited by European aristocrats, musicians, poets and artists, and Mary herself was creative, fond of drawing and writing. All creative impulses did not disappear and, to this day, dissolved in the space surrounding the palace. Here everything speaks about the creative past of these places: unearthly beauty, a unique atmosphere and a poetic mood. Every plant, gazebo, bridge seems to be woven from the threads of art. An ideal place to walk and enjoy peace.
The complex has restaurants, bars, cafes, there is a small beach nearby and even rooms in the royal apartments are given to tourists.
