Ropotamo River
Description:
The Ropotamo River is one of the rivers of Bulgaria.
The total length of the channel is forty-eight kilometers. The origins of the river are located in the Strandzhi mountain range. As for most mountain rivers, Ropotamo is characterized by a rather turbulent current in the upper reaches and calm - closer to the mouth. The maximum depth of the channel is eight meters. The mouth of the river is located at Cape Koracja, in the southern part of the Burgas Bay.
The peculiarity of this waterway is in the mixed type of water: five kilometers to the bay, the water in the river becomes salty.
Ropotamo is one of the most popular water tourism routes in Bulgaria. A tour of Ropotamo will be a good rest for lovers of leisurely "civilized alloys". If you are lucky, then, sailing through the reserve, located at the mouth of the river, you can see pelicans.
