Orlov Chuka Cave
Description:
Orlov Chuka cave, found in 1941 by a shepherd, is one of the most interesting natural attractions in Bulgaria. It is located 40 kilometers from Ruse, near the village of Pepelina.
It is believed that this cave appeared in the Paleolithic era and was used as a hut. During the study, several skeletons of bears and stone natural formations were found in it, which resemble a dinosaur, an owl, a turtle and other animals in shape.
The cave has several halls, one of which hosts festive concerts every August. In the hall you can see a large stalactite, whose height reaches 3.5 meters, and the diameter is 50 centimeters.
To date, about 3 kilometers of the cave are available for inspection. It is allowed to take photos, but it is worth remembering that sometimes it scares bats living here. If you are going to visit this place, remember that between November 1 and April 1 the entrance to the cave is closed.
