Freedom Square
Description:
Freedom Square, which has preserved the atmosphere of antiquity, is located in the historical center - the heart of the city of Ruse. The clean park and green streets are perfect for relaxing walks: the magnificent fountain, as well as the square in the center of the square with the Freedom Monument erected in 1908, in memory of the formation of the independent Bulgarian state, decorate the square. There are several bars and restaurants nearby where you can relax and eat.
On the territory of the square there are also amazing architectural monuments - the Revenue House, built in 1902, and the Girdap building, once the head office of the first private bank in Bulgaria, founded in 1881.
