Slaveykov Square

Description:

Slaveykov Square is the largest open-air book market in the country, turning into a bright concert venue on Friday evening, which attracts creative, interesting people here. But performances by Bulgarian bands will not overshadow the popularity of the bazaar, where more than 20,000 books are found each week. It seems to have everything from fiction for children to specialized scientific and professional publications. In addition to all this book variety, antiques can be found on the shelves.

The square itself is named after the famous writers Petko and Pencho Sloveikov, father and son. Their monument in the form of two people sitting on a bench is a symbol of love for books and reading. Near the monument is a library with a solid stock of knowledge.
