About the company:

One of the richest treasures in the Balkan Peninsula is the National Historical Museum, opened in 1973 by the government. Its first exposition was presented in honor of the 1300th anniversary of the Bulgarian state in 1984. It currently houses about 700,000 cultural monuments that represent the history of Bulgarian lands. Unfortunately, only about 10% of all values are represented in the exhibition halls.

The main exposition of the museum is located in five halls dedicated to ancient Thrace, primitive society, the Middle Ages, Bulgarian lands in the XV-XIX centuries and the Third Bulgarian state, from 1878 to the present day. The collection of primitive society presents various weapons of flint and bone, as well as figures of idols, ceramics and jewelry.

Especially popular is the hall with a collection dedicated to ancient Thrace, where the world-famous priceless treasures - Rogozensky, Panagyursky and Letnitsky, as well as a treasure discovered near the village of Duvanlia are stored. Here you can see numerous funerary decorations and gifts that have been found while exploring a huge number of mounds throughout Bulgaria.
