Tangua Park
R. Dr. Bemben - Curitiba, Brazil
Description:
Tangua Park is one of the main parks in Curitiba. It opened in 1996 and covers an area of 23.5 hectares. On the territory of the park there are 2 half-submerged old quarries, they are connected by a tunnel 45 meters long. Through the tunnel, visitors ride on a boat, and there are also pedestrian bridges. This is a favorite place for romantic dates and family holidays.
The top of the quarry is equipped with a huge multi-level observation deck, on which cafeterias are located, fountains and lawns are arranged. Also in Tangua Park there are artificial waterfalls, illuminated in the evening by floodlights, and a memorial of Ukrainian immigration, built in the form of the Church of St. Michael.
