Manaus Indian Museum
Rua Duque de Caxias, 356 - Praca 14 de Janeiro/Centro
About the company:
The Indian Museum was founded in 1952 by monks and is still run by a council of Catholic nuns called the Salesian Sisters.
More than three thousand exhibits from all spheres of life are located in six halls of the museum. The expositions are devoted to the culture, art, life and even medicine of indigenous peoples. An interesting feature of the museum is the complete absence of guides, but largely due to this, the atmosphere in the museum is not as prime as in other museums, and you can safely touch the ancient world.
