Description:

The Church of the Third Order du Karma is an ancient Carmelite temple located on the western outskirts of the Brazilian city of Salvador. The church is part of urban history and is an architectural monument of the XIX century.

The first church in El Salvador was built in 1636, but the temple burned to the ground in a fire. The modern church building, decided in the style of neoclassicism, was erected in 1828 - it is in this form that the temple has survived to this day. The church du Karma is beautiful both externally and internally. The interior of the temple is decorated with a baroque altar and a statue of the Carmel Mother of God. In addition, the temple is an ancient French organ, which is older than the temple itself.

Today, the Church of the Third Order of Carmou is a prominent cult attraction of El Salvador, attracting the attention of not only religious, but also quite secular tourists. In addition, there is a small museum dedicated to the history of this building.
