Gioventino Silva City Park

Pituba, Salvador, Brazil

Description:

The city park. Gioventino Silva is one of the largest parks in El Salvador, which is a miraculously preserved piece of tropical jungle in the middle of urban development. The park is very beautiful, and among nature lovers it is considered a great place to relax.

The Gioventino Silva City Park appeared on a map of El Salvador in 1973. It got its name in honor of the former owner of this site, philanthropist Gioventino Silva, who voluntarily transferred his lands to public ownership. The area of the park is 720 thousand square meters, and most of this territory is occupied by untouched rainforest. However, the park also has a tourist infrastructure - playgrounds, running and bicycle paths, picnic areas and much more. A separate pride of the park is a wonderful open-air theater, seating up to 600 people. Free concerts and theatrical performances of local acting companies are often held here.

In general, the city park. Gioventino Silva is a great place to relax. Clean air, abundance of greenery and animals, as well as the saving coolness of the Brazilian jungle attract many tourists.
