Description:
Itaparica is a small island located in All Saints Bay. The island gained its fame primarily due to the open tennis tournament held here. And after that, tourists began to attract local attractions, among which it is worth noting the huge beaches and a very diverse vegetation. The island is surrounded by coral reefs, thanks to which the sea near the island is very calm.
Itaparika is also rich in architectural monuments: mansions and fazends, churches, fountains... Among the most striking monuments are the churches of Fortaleza de San Lorenzo and Our Lady of Mercy, as well as the Bica Fountain.
