R. Lions Club, 217-547, Nazare, Salvador, Brazil

Description:

Fonte Nova is a popular football stadium located in the Brazilian city of Salvador, Bahia. The stadium opened in 2013 and today is considered one of the most modern and spacious football arenas in Brazil.

Fonte Nova was built in El Salvador after the old stadium bearing the same name was demolished in 2010. The new arena was built in just three years. The renovated Fonte Nova was designed by architects Mark Duve and Claas Schulz, both from Germany. The stadium they built meets the highest safety standards and can accommodate up to 55,000 fans.

Today, Fonte Nova Stadium is preparing to host the Confederations Cup matches under the auspices of the International Football Federation, and in 2016 medals of the Summer Olympic Games to be held in Brazil will be played in this arena. The stadium is perfectly adapted for football battles of the highest level and will certainly appeal to fans of this sport.
