Tempostal Museum
Salvador - BA, 41195-280, Brazil
About the company:
The Tempostal Museum is located in a beautiful building of El Salvador, made in the colonial style. The collection of the museum consists of 30 thousand photos and postcards relating to the XIX-XX centuries.
The founder of Temppostal is António Marcelino, whose collection is now available to anyone. Antique postcards occupy the main place in the entire exhibition and tell the history of the city of El Salvador, as well as its formation and development.
Some of the images were enlarged so that details could be seen. A small part of the collection, which dates back to the twentieth century, shows magnificent examples of the art of creating postcards – some painted with watercolor, others decorated with embroidery.
