Pedro Alvares Cabral, Pq do Ibirapuera, São Paulo, Brazil
Description:
The Japanese Pavilion in Ibirapuera Park is a small museum of oriental culture located in the historic center of São Paulo, right in the middle of the beautiful Ibirapuera Park. The Japanese pavilion is very beautiful, picturesque and is considered a popular place for recreation and excursions.
The Japanese pavilion appeared in Sao Paulo in 1954 - the museum was built in honor of the four hundredth anniversary of the city. The cost was borne by the Japanese community of Brazil, whose members managed to recreate a tiny piece of their native Japan right in the middle of the bustling Ibirapuera Park. The area of the pavilion is 7500 square meters, and the entire complex consists of several buildings built in traditional Japanese style. Around the buildings there is a beautiful eastern garden, and on the western side of the pavilion there is a lake.
The exposition of the museum contains a variety of exhibits - here you can admire ceramics, traditional Japanese clothes and much more. Visitors can also visit a small restaurant or go fishing. In general, the Japanese pavilion is a great place for a relaxing holiday. The peaceful atmosphere of the Far East envelops all visitors of this museum and attracts a lot of tourists to it.
