About the company:
The Sacred Art Museum of São Paulo is one of the leading institutions in Brazil dedicated to the study, preservation and display of objects related to religious art.
The museum is located in São Paulo, in the left wing of the Monastery of Light. The monastery was founded in 1774 on the initiative of Frey Galvan. The monastery building is the only eighteenth-century colonial building in São Paulo that retains its original architecture. In 1943 it was recognized as a national architectural monument.
With the support of the state government and the Archbishop of São Paulo, a museum was founded here in 1970. The museum houses one of the most important collections of religious art in Brazil. The museum features paintings, sculptures, furniture and much more.
