Krumlov Castle

Z mek 59, 381 01 Č eský Krumlov Czech Republic

Description:

Krumlov Castle is the second largest in the Czech Republic. It was built over six centuries, all this time capturing a huge territory around it and overgrown with fairy tales and legends. The first stone in the base of the castle was laid by the Vitkovich family, and in parallel around the castle began to grow the city of Chesky-Krumlov. You can get to the castle through a stone bridge, which recognizes the features of the Renaissance and Baroque. Around the Krumlov castle itself, a ditch has been dug, in which real bears have been kept since the 18th century.

Legend has it that the castle is full of ghosts. One of them goes by the name of the white lady. During her lifetime, she was a girl who was forced to marry one of the descendants of the Liechtenstein family. Marriage brought the girl only pain and suffering. There is a belief: if the ghost gloves black - expect trouble, and if white - happiness and prosperity.
