Town Hall
Ná mě stí Svornosti 1, Č eský Krumlov
Description:
The Town Hall is a wide white three-storey building on the main city square in Czech Krumlov. The building appeared in the XVII century, by combining two old Gothic houses. On the ground floor there is a wide corridor connected to the streets by large arched spans. On one of the vaults were found fragments of wall painting dating from the first half of the XV century, depicting the worship of the Magi to the born Savior.
The building served administrative purposes for the management of the city, so meeting rooms were equipped inside. In the basement of the town hall is the Museum of Torture, which presents 100 exhibits of torture instruments and 10 wax figures.
