Rozhmberk nad Vltavou, Czech Republic 110 m UZ
Description:
Rozhmberk Castle above Vltava is one of the oldest in the Czech Republic. The date of its foundation is attributed to the thirteenth century. The founders were the Knights of the Five-petaled Rose, who went down in history as the Rosenbergs (they are also Rozhmberki). This family was the owner of the castle for several centuries.
During its existence, Rozhmberk Castle experienced a major fire and many reconstructions. Also, the castle tried on the most popular architectural styles - from the Italian Renaissance to romantic Gothic.
Rozhmberk Castle is known for its ghost of the White Lady. The ghost does not appear often, but if you see it, be sure to pay attention to the color of the gloves. If it's white, expect luck. But if it's red, there'll be a fire.
