Local history museum
About the company:
The local history museum of the city of Czech Krumlov is located on Gornaya Square in one of the ancient buildings that once served the Jesuit order. Here was a Jesuit seminary, and in pre-war times an ordinary school. In 1946, this beautiful Baroque building, built in the XVIII century, housed an archive and a museum of local lore.
The museum has rich archaeological, ethnographic, artistic and craft expositions dedicated to the history of the city of Czech Krumlov. The museum has almost 34,000 exhibits. The interior of the building has been preserved since the time of the Jesuits. A notable exhibit on display is unique ceramic models representing the historic city centre of 1800 on a 1:200 scale.
