Stag Skok rock
Description:
Olenius Skok is a low rock located in the city of Karlovy Vary. In 1851, by order of Baron Lutzev, a metal statue of chamois was created on the top of the rock, the author of which was the German August Kiss. It depicted a deer showing Charles IV a source of healing water. The statue existed until 1984, when vandals smashed it, but two years later, in 1986, Czech sculpture Jan Kotek made a bronze copy of it.
Currently, Olenium Skok is very popular among tourists, it is one of the local symbols. There is an observation deck with a beautiful view of Karlovy Vary. In order to see this picturesque view, you need to overcome 126 steps or ride a fanicular.
