Klashterets nad Ogří Castle

Klá &scaron terec nad Oh í, okres Chomutov, Č eská republika

Description:

Klashterets nad Ogří Castle is located on the border of the Czech Republic and Germany, 30 km from Karlovy Vary at the foot of the Crush Mountains. The word "klashterets" is translated from Czech as "small monastery". The Renaissance castle was built at the end of the XVI century, but changed its style twice in the process of restructuring: first in the Baroque style, and then in neo-Gothic.

The palace became famous thanks to the largest porcelain museum located under its roof, which contains samples of Czech porcelain produced from the XVIII century to the present day. The palace is adjacent to a beautiful English park, which features rare trees.
