Museum of Jan Becher by Karlovy Vary

T.G. Masaryka 57, Karlovy Vary

About the company:

The Jan Becher Museum preserves the history of the creation of one of the most famous Czech beverages - Becherovka liqueur. The museum was opened in 1999 and is located in Karlovy Vary.

The creator of the world-famous liqueur Becherovka is Jan Becher. Interestingly, this liquor is called the fourteenth source of Karlovy Vary. The museum is located in the same room as the factory for the production of Becherovka, which replaced the old pharmacy about 150 years ago.

Visiting the Jan Becher Museum, you will learn a lot about the creators of becherovka, its history and production, as well as how to consume liquor with health benefits. The museum has stands with antique labels, bottles and advertising posters. If desired, you can take part in the tasting of the drink. For tasting, in addition to the traditional Becherovka, different varieties are offered: honey, citrus "Lemond", aperitif KV 15 and KV 14 with the addition of red wine.

In the store at the museum you can buy drinks that have been tasted, and at low prices. This is the only place where all varieties of liquor are always guaranteed to be available. By the way, a discount ticket is attached to the entrance ticket to the museum.
