Wallenstein Garden

Wallenstein Garden is located in the center of Prague, in the district of Mala Strana. This unique creation of garden and park art is the first and most amazing palace garden in the city. The garden was built in the early Baroque style together with the palace building in the early seventeenth century.

The territory of the garden is divided into two plots, one of which is a swimming pool and a greenhouse, and in the other - a luxurious loggia with a stall and a pond. In the southern part of the garden rises the "stalactite wall", which emphasizes the contrast of the natural and man-made environment.

Also on the territory of the Wallenstein Garden you can see a bronze statue of Venus, located in the fountain, admire the gallery of works of the great sculptor Adrian de Vries. The originals were taken away by the Swedes, but the copies that are exhibited in the garden are not inferior in beauty to the originals. Here you can see freely walking friendly handsome peacocks, as well as feed the goldfish that live in the pond.

In spring, theatrical performances and concerts are held on the grounds of the garden, and the Wallenstein Garden itself is open to visitors from April to September, entrance is free.
