Vyšehrad Fortress is a historical district of Prague located on the right bank of the Vltava River on top of a cliff.

The fortress of Vyšehrad is the historical cradle of the Czechs. The natives of historical Prague often say: “Who has not visited Vyšehrad, he did not know the true spirit of the whole Czech Republic.”

This is one of the most favorite places of rest for residents of Prague!

The history of Visegrad is shrouded in interesting secrets and legends. One of the most famous in the history of Prague is the legend of the daughter of Prince Kroc – Princess Libus. She was a prophetess and standing on the Visegrad Rock and looking at the future Prague Castle, predicted the construction of a city whose glory and beauty would ascend to heaven.
