Old Town of Prague (Stare Place)
110 00 Prague 1, Czech Republic
Description:
The “Old Town” – the historical district of Prague, included in the UNESCO World Heritage List, located on the right bank of the Vltava, is quite suitable for an excursion into history: all buildings and fragments are preserved exactly as in ancient times. As for ancient times: the first mention of the area "Stare Mesto" refers to the first millennium AD. The designation “Old City” took root when Emperor Charles IV founded Nove Mesto in the XIV century.
History here is intertwined with modernity, and the past turns into a fairy tale. Stare Mesto is a favorite place of tourists, hiding a unique charm. Charm manifests itself in everything: in ancient temples and buildings in the style of Gothic and Baroque, in the Royal Track and the Powder Tower, from the observation deck of which an exciting panorama of the city opens.
