Boko-Kotor Bay (half-day excursion)

Description:

Boka Kotor is the most unique place on the Adriatic. It is here that the sea comes to the mainland for more than twenty-eight kilometers. Boca is not inferior in beauty and depth to the fjords of Norway and is considered the southernmost fjord in Europe. We will begin our acquaintance with the bay of the viewing platform, from which we will see the bay from a hill and will be able to take beautiful photos.
Further, our tour will begin with a visit to the city of Kotor, you will learn its history, see all the main attractions that influenced the history and development of the city.

Further along the coast along the Boka Kotor we follow to the city of Perast, where we will stop to get acquainted with its history.
Opposite the city of Perast, 500 m from the coast, there are two islands - "Gospa od Shkrpela" (meaning the Virgin in stone) and the Island of St. George.

The island "Gospa od Shkrpela" is artificial, it is the Catholic Church of the Virgin. The island is allowed to visit, for this we board a boat and after 10 minutes we are already on the spot.

On the island of St. George is the eponymous church of the XII century, it is a natural island, but for visitors it is closed.

Further, our way lies in the town of Risan, where we can see the Roman mosaics of the 2nd century AD, the remnants of the Roman city and the oldest city stone road. There are not many preserved beautiful buildings, but Risan is one of the oldest cities in the Mediterranean and is worth a visit.

If desired, we can take a car to the observation deck and from a height of 700 meters we can enjoy the beauty of Risan Bay.

Then by ferry (with a car) we will cross Boka and drive along the Tivat Bay.

If you have the desire and strength, we can visit Montenegrin Monaco – Porto Montenegro in Tivat.
