Description:
We leave Budva (or from another city on the parish).
Our way runs along the coast, through a car ferry towards the Bosnian border.
Then our tour begins in the city of Trebinje. The city of Trebinje is located on the banks of the Trebišnica River, which gave the city its name. Upon arrival, we will visit the Church of Hercegovachka Grachanitsa, which is located on the hill of Zrkvine, from where a panoramic view of the city opens. Then we go down to the city, walk through the center, see the famous plane trees, see the Old Town, if desired, we can have lunch or a coffee. Here in the Old Town is the most popular ice cream cafe, which we can also taste. Then we will walk through the city park and visit the Orthodox monastery.
Then our way lies to the monastery of Tvrodosh, a place closely connected with the life of the great Saint Basil of Ostrog. Here we can buy wines made directly in the monastery and are very popular not only in the Balkans.
We will continue our journey to one of the largest caves – the Vetrenica Cave. The length of the cave is 1.5 km. According to legend, fairies live here and if you listen, you can hear their singing. The air temperature here is constantly 11 degrees. Further, upon request, a visit to the Zavala Monastery (which had the residence of Metropolitan Vasily of Herzegovina (in the future Vasily Ostrogsky) and a break for lunch.
