Nature of Montenegro - 5 Canyons
Description:
This excursion is one of the three most interesting and will appeal to lovers of nature, mountains and national color.
Duration from 8-9am to 19-20pm. During the day we will make with you a circle within the whole country about 430 km – we will drive along the border with Albania, a little before reaching the Serbian border, then turn west to Bosnia and return to another road to the sea.
Having left the coast in the morning, we make the first photopause in a beautiful place, which overlooks the entire Budva Riviera.

We continue the way inland past the capital Cetinje and Skadar Lake, which you will see in the distance. Then we pass the main city of Podgorica – the largest and most developed in the country, where all the authorities of Montenegro are located.

After Podgorica, more wild, natural landscapes of the Moraca canyon begin, they will not leave you indifferent, we will make several pauses in the most specific places.
Our next stop is the Moraca Monastery. Built in 1256, it was repeatedly destroyed by the Turks, but each time it was restored by the local population. Here is the most beautiful and well-groomed area in comparison with other monasteries of Montenegro - flowering roses, greenery, hives.

Stop on the suspension bridge. Not everyone reaches the end)
Then we pass the towns of Kolasin and Mojkovac surrounded by high mountains. On the right side of us there will be a canyon of the Tara River - it begins as a not deep ravine and turns along the way into the second deepest canyon in the world. Let's take a few pauses here.
One of the most beautiful places of our trip is the Djurdjevic Bridge across the canyon of the Tara River. We will walk on the bridge, exploring the canyon from above.
You will learn all about the history of the bridge.

And the bravest will be able to fly to the other side of the canyon on the longest zip line in Europe.

Let's go!
22 kilometers from the bridge on the way the town of Zabljak with its ski resorts, pines and wooden houses in the style of Swiss chalets. Here we dine the famous Montenegrin lamb "From under Sacha" - stew in the coals simply melts in the mouth.
After lunch, walk to Black Lake along a beautiful forest path about 500 meters. You will be surprised how different the vegetation and climate of Primorye and the north of Montenegro, where everything looks like the Karelian forests. We'll take a boat ride by the lake if you like.

We will pass the Durmitor National Park with its wild pastures and their inhabitants.
Our return road to the coast will pass through the cities of Shavnik, Niksich, Danilovgrad, about which I will also tell a lot of interesting things.
We're going down to Budva tonight.
Returning back, you can safely say that you were in Montenegro, because you saw the canyon of the Tara River - the second deepest in the world!
