Budva rocks
Montenegro, Budva, Budvansaya Riviera
Description:
Budva in Montenegro, founded 2500 years ago, is the oldest settlement on the Adriatic Sea. The city is surrounded on all sides by rocks of an unusual, layered structure. The layers of stone seem to be mixed, this is due to the processes occurring in the depths of the earth. Bizarre, steep cliffs are rugged with many large and small coves, in which sandy and pebble beaches are located. Budva and its surroundings make up the Budva Riviera.
From the sea side, beyond the beach of Mogren, in the rocks you can see grottoes, as well as a through cave.
On the way to the beach of Mogren on the rock you can see the monument to the famous Montenegrin gymnast, who crashed in this place after falling from a cliff.
In Budva there is a steep rock, with a chapel on it. According to a beautiful legend, lovers Mark and Elena threw themselves from this rock, who did not have the opportunity to get married, since they were unequal in origin. Since then, the rock has become a favorite place to visit for all lovers.
At the resort of the Budva Riviera St. Stephen you can see a fortress carved in one of the rocks on the coast.
