Sculpture "Dancer from Budva"

The sculpture of a dancer is one of the most popular and often photographed attractions in the sea town of Budva.

It is located among the rocks, between the Old Town and the beach of Mogren. The appearance of this statue is preceded by a very touching romantic story.

One of the legends tells about a young girl who was the bride of a sailor. One day he went on a long sea voyage. Every morning the girl came to the shore and danced, hoping that he was about to return to his native places. She spent days, months and years looking out into the vast expanses of the sea waiting, but the ship with the young man never returned.

Since then, the statue has become not only a symbol of eternal love and devotion, but also a place to make wishes.
