About the company:
The Archaeological Museum of Budva, opened in 1962, has a huge collection of finds collected in the Adriatic. It consists of about 3000 exhibits, which cover the period from the 5th century BC to the early 20th century. The museum is located in the area of Old Budva.
The exposition is rich in finds of everyday objects and art not only of Montenegrins, but also of Romans, Greeks, Byzantines and Slavs.
The museum occupies a four-storey building: on the first - there is a lapidarium, where stone slabs with samples of ancient writing are stored, on the other three - jewelry, ancient coins, ceramic vessels and other finds that were found during the construction of one of the hotels in Old Budva.
Of particular interest in the collection of the museum is the Illyrian helmet and stone slab, which depicts fish - a symbol of Budva.
