Day of the Battle of Dubbel in Denmark

Description:

.. The national flag of Denmark is raised
Military flag days (holidays and commemorative dates, in honor of which the national flag of Denmark is hoisted in places established by law), allocated in a separate group, refer to different periods of wars with Denmark's near and far neighbors.

Wars for Denmark were not always successful, but the victories won over the enemies are sacredly revered by the Danes. On 9 April 1940, Nazi Germany occupied Denmark and turned it into a food base. The Danish illegal army (6,200 men in 1944, 43,000 in April 1945) together with the British armed forces on May 5, 1945, disarmed the surrendered German fascist troops. On May 9, 1945, Soviet troops liberated Bourneholm.

The war of 1864 with Prussia and Austria for the redistribution of the borders of Schleswig was marked by flag days: the Battle of Misund, the Battle of Dubbel (18 April 1864) and the Battle of Heligoland. As a result, the issue of the partition of Schleswig was finally resolved in 1920 as a result of a referendum and the subsequent reunification of North Schleswig (South Jutland) with Denmark.
