About the company:

Taha Hussein Museum is a historical museum founded by a famous Arab writer. The museum is located in Giza and contains two thematic exhibitions. One of them, on the ground floor, is dedicated directly to Hussein’s life and work. The second tells about pre-Islamic Eastern literature, the social evolution of the East and includes materials on the development of education in Egypt, the emancipation of women, human rights activities.

The house was originally built by Hussain for two owners, himself and his son. Therefore, the house has two entrances from different streets and is zoned for the comfortable life of two families. Hussain called his manor Ramatan (an oasis where travelers could stay on holiday). After his death in 1973, the house was finally turned into a museum and underwent significant renovation. A large living room was left intact, where the color of Egyptian society was gathered during Hussein’s lifetime. In one of the corners of this hall there is a huge piano and there are records and recordings of rare musical works by Schubert, Verdi, Bach, Mozart, Schumann and other composers.
