Agricultural Museum

Agricultural Museum, Ad Doqi, Giza, Egypt

About the company:

The Cairo Agricultural Museum was founded in 1930 to commemorate the history of agriculture. Currently, a new wing is being added to the museum, which will help to slightly unload the old halls of the museum and attract more visitors.

The museum consists of the palace of Princess Fatima and a huge garden, the area of which is five times the area of the museum buildings (100,000 square meters). The part of the exhibition dedicated to bread is very popular among visitors, as bread is very important for Egyptians. There you can learn about how to prepare bread, its different types and growing grain. Of particular interest to the public is the livestock hall, where you can find not only the main species of farm animals, but also large insects, which the Egyptians eat or consumed before. Also, the museum carefully tracks the history of cotton, starting with cultivation and ending with the production of fabrics and tailoring of finished products.
