Stoney Beach reef

The Stoney Beach Reef, also known as the “Lion’s Head” from the cliffs, the shape of which resembles the mane of a wild beast, is considered an ideal place for diving. Beautiful coral reefs and many inhabitants of the underwater world attract lovers of snorkeling. It is necessary to dive from the ship, since there is no equipped beach near the reef. Stoney Beach is located at a depth of about 60 meters and quite far from the coastline.

To get to Stoney Beach reef is possible only by water transport. The reef is located near Giftun Island, to which boats depart from Hurghada.
