Sohag Airport
Description:
Sohag Airport is located 25 kilometers from the city of the same name. The airport was officially opened by former Egyptian President Hosni Mubarak on May 25, 2010. In 2011, the airport served 221646 passengers (+ 1143% compared to 2010).
The building of the passenger terminal is designed with a unique ancient Egyptian design. The terminal consists of two halls for international arrival and departure, a VIP lounge and a duty-free shop.
The airport also includes its own electricity station, water station, sewerage and car park, capable of handling up to 400 cars and 25 buses.
