First Sunday of Advent

Adventus v Advent is the four-week period preceding the Feast of the Nativity. It begins on Sunday, which falls on one of the numbers between November 29 and December 3.
Advent is divided into two calendar stages: the first – from the first Sunday of Advent to December 16 – is devoted to meditation on the coming Second Coming of Jesus Christ, and the second v from December 17 to December 24 v is a direct preparation for the celebration of the Nativity of Christ and is associated with the memory of His First Coming into the world.
Since all Sundays of Advent are equated in importance with the great holidays, if any other holiday falls on Advent Sunday, it is transferred to Monday.
The first Sunday of Advent is considered in Catholic tradition the beginning of the church (liturgical) year.
