Description:

The Church of the Holy Trinity is located in the Estonian city of Rakvere. It was built in the late Middle Ages, and then rebuilt in the XVII century. Particular interest in the church is evident due to its wooden and original altar, as well as in connection with the tombstone of the famous Estonian bishop Arnold Annabat.

The church was built in 1698 by masters and architects Simon and Andreas. It has a kind of slender and high tower. Later, in the XVII century the church was rebuilt. Inside the church you can see the masterpiece of baroque wood carvings. Carving at the department was done by masters Christian Ackerman and Elert Thiele, and the altar wall was decorated by master Johan Valentin Rabe, in 1730.
