Tartu Airport

Description:

Tartu Airport is located near the Tartu Vyru highway, 10 km from the city center of Tartu in Estonia. Its middle name is Jülenurme Airport, due to its proximity to the village of the same name. It was built in 1946 by order of the local authorities. In 1981, a new terminal building was built, and the taxiway and runway were modernized.

After many years of irregular flights, the airport now has two scheduled flights: Tallinn - 6 times a week, and Helsinki - 5 times a week. They are provided by Estonian airlines Flibe Nordic and Estonian Air. In 2009, the runway of Tartu Airport was increased to 1,799 meters and its width to 45 meters. According to statistics collected in 2010, the passenger traffic of Tartu Airport is 9,708 people.

There are several cafes and waiting rooms on the territory of the airport, which will make your stay here as comfortable as possible.
