Sightseeing tour of Helsinki (road-walking)
Description:
If you want to learn more than on a walking tour and see other parts of the city, I recommend a car and walking tour of Helsinki. During the sightseeing tour, we move around the city in my or your car, combining this with walking.
In about 2.5 hours we will explore and visit the main attractions in the city center: The Senate Square with the Cathedral Church, the Palace of Estates, the Assumption Orthodox Church, the President’s Palace, the Trading Square, the Esplanade.
We will drive along the embankments of the city (it is worth it in the city of about 300 islands!) and admire Sveaborg (Suomenlinna), a Swedish fortress from the point where Russian cannons fired at it in the early 19th century.
We will visit Sibelius Park with a monument dedicated to it, which has become one of the symbols of the city, pass by the residences of the President and Prime Minister of Finland, go to a unique Lutheran temple carved into the rock today.
During the tour, I will introduce you to Finnish traditions, interesting facts about modern life and legends and stories from the past of Finns and Swedes. The Swedes were the elite of Finnish society until very recently.
When ordering a tour for 3 hours or more, an extended program is offered (the district of Eira - the district of "old money", or, as it is sometimes called - the rich and famous, the church of John the Baptist - the largest temple in Finland, the Barracks Square with the Ministry of Defense of Finland, the magnificent architecture of the northern modern Katajanokka with a former prison where you can peek your nerves to tickle, a bird's-eye view of Helsinki, the old city market with fish delicacies, etc.) taking into account the wishes of guests.
The cost of the tour is calculated by time, based on the cost of 50 euros per hour, 1-6 people (4 adults and 2 children, the third row of seats is more suitable for children). The duration of the tour is 2-5 hours, at least 2 hours.
The price includes:
Helsinki maps and guides, good mood and professionalism of the guide, help and beyond the excursion
