Helsinki Oceanarium
10, Tivolitie, 00510 Helsinki, Finland
Description:
The Sea Life Oceanarium in Helsinki presents visitors with more than 10 species of sharks, rays, jellyfish, seahorses and thousands of other fish. In the aquarium there are more than 50 diverse aquariums with sea water. The halls of the aquarium are decorated as interactive thematic exhibitions in which you can feel like a paleontologist, digging up the bones of a prehistoric dinosaur from the sand. In one of the halls you can feel the touch of a jellyfish and a sea urchin, and also see how light bulbs light up from the current of an electric eel.
Under the pool with sharks there is a unique glass 10-meter tunnel, diving visitors to a depth to view the “sea” inhabitants of the aquarium.
You can get to the aquarium by tram 3T and 3B. The name of the stop is Alppila. Sea Life is located next to the Linnanmäki Lunar Park (Linnanmä ki).
