Toy Museum in Suomenlinn

Suomenlinna C66, Helsinki, Finland

About the company:

The Toy Museum in Suomenlinn is very cozy, any visitor will like its soulful atmosphere and will remember a warm welcome. Both adults and children will love the collection of old toys that were played by our great-grandparents. Up to 80% of the exhibits are dolls of the XIX-XX centuries, made of wood, porcelain, plastic and even paper.

In addition to dolls, the museum can look at doll houses and mansions, cars, rocking horses, winding toys, paravoz, and the museum includes a large collection of soft toys. Here you can even find the “ancestors” of such games as the popular “Monopoly”, “Colonization of Africa”, “Fight for Food”. The game was very popular with wartime children. Each toy, which got into the museum, has its own story, outlined in the annotation under each exhibit, including in Russian.
