Amos Anderson Museum of Art
Yrjonkatu 27, 00100 Helsinki, Finland
About the company:
Amos Anderson Museum of Art is located in Helsinki, the capital of Finland. The building, which now houses the museum, was built in 1913. Amos Anderson lived there, and after his death in 1965, it was turned into a museum.
It may seem that if the museum bears the name of Amos Anderson, then his personal belongings should be in the museum. But that's a misconception. In fact, there are works of Finnish art, mainly of the XX century. These are works of not only art, but also art from the field of architecture, photography and various other applied fields. The first works included in the museum’s exposition were selected from the personal collection of Amos Anderson.
The museum is located on the upper floors, and on the first floor there is a shop and a cafe, which is also an additional plus of this place.
