Museum of Dolls and Toys
Suomenlinna C66, 00190, Helsinki, Finland
About the company:
The Museum of Dolls and Toys is located on the island of Suomenlinna, Finland. The basis of the collection is old toys, dolls of the XIX century and the first half of the XX century. The museum was founded in 1985 by artist Piippa Tandefelt. It was her collection of toys that became the basis of the exhibition. Every year the number of exhibits only increased, and the collection continues to replenish. A true connoisseur of antique toys and a few hours spent here, it seems not enough.
After Piipa retired, her daughter Petra took over the management of the museum. Every year the museum of dolls and toys is visited by about 15 thousand people, among them many regular and loyal customers. Please note that the museum is open only in the warm season. Since October, you will not be able to visit it.
In addition to contemplating beautiful antique toys, you can also visit a cafe and a souvenir shop, which work at the museum. In the cafe, treat yourself to delicious homemade cakes and strong cocoa, and in the store buy a doll or a bear cub, and also do not forget about a souvenir postcard with photos of the museum exhibits. Let them remind you of an extraordinary and interesting museum.
