About the company:
Tuomarinkül Museum is located in the north of Helsinki. Here you can see the situation of the Finnish estate of different eras from the Baroque to the present.
The estate was built in 1790 by Major Magnus Brunov.
Here you will find an entire village in the capital of Finland. The estate has two museums, branches of the City Museum of Helsinki, which can be visited with one entrance ticket.
In the main building of the estate there is an exposition dedicated to the interior decoration of the houses of residents of Helsinki. The permanent exhibition “Elegance” introduces visitors to a wide range of styles from baroque to functionalism, represented by fine furniture and decorative accessories.
Here are works of art, crafts, silver, glass, ceramics, as well as fabric products, cutlery, fashionable records and sketches of designers.
One of the most beautiful rooms of the estate - a music salon - created in the style of Biedermeier, "a mixture of empire with romanticism", widespread in 1815-1848.
Museum staff restored furniture and interior items and now the music salon looks the same as the owners.
In the museum, a separate exposition is devoted to dolls, doll houses with beautiful hallways, living rooms and bedrooms and other toys.
