Kotka

The cat is the unity of the opposite

Description:

Kotka is the city where the emperor left his heart.

This city is "hiding" behind the sea, but there is no port bustle. There will be no mansions built by aristocrats, huge boulevards, squares or designer boutiques.

And, there will be the noise of the surf, the cries of gulls, fresh sea air, cozy houses and small cafes, the best parks of the country and a unique promenade of sculptures, a sea fortress with bastions, one of the oldest Orthodox churches and a huge number of beautiful and tragic stories.

During the tour, we:

- We will visit the "dacha" of Alexander III. Yes, it was here that the Emperor of Russia came fishing.

- stroll through the old quarters and the Promenade of Sculptures - a kind of open-air modern art museum and famous parks

- find out how the names of Salvador Dali, A. Suvorov, Catherine the Great and the "father" of radio are connected with the city - A. Popov and V. I. Lenin, Y. Sibelius

– visit the old Orthodox Cathedral and “closed territories” – Lutheran Cathedral, built, one of the first, in the Art Nouveau style (NB! Lutheran Church is open only in the summer)

Take a walk along the miniature “lighthouse road”. This path is considered one of the most beautiful in the country, which is definitely worth visiting.

We will see a copy of the famous Chartres Labyrinth.

We can honor the memory of the little woman who stopped the whole army.

- learn about the lady of "light behavior" to which the Finns dedicated a beautiful ballad. What port city would do without “indecent” stories?

- and be sure to "warm" in the real Sahara desert, with palm trees and camels.
