Sapokka Water Park
Tallinnankatu 10? coast of Sapokka Bay, Kotka, Finland
Description:
The coastal park of Sapokka is considered the cleanest from an ecological point of view place of Kotka. Here everything is pleasing to the eye - paths of various types of natural stone, ponds, various vegetation. With great taste, the plants here are selected so as to replace each other in flowering. Thanks to this, literally every week the park acquires an updated appearance and does not cease to smell until late autumn.
A big place in Sapokka is water. Mysterious ponds are connected by gurgling streams, powerful jets are thrown down on the stones waterfall. The sounds of nature calm and purify the mind.
In 1996, the park received the award as the most beautiful creation built of natural stone. On the rock next to the waterfall there is an exhibition of stones from different regions of Finland, who participated in the design process of Sapokka. Each of them has its own description.
The park is adapted for walking, and for more active movements. Here love to walk families with children and make dates lovers. In the warm season, small concerts are often arranged on improvised stage. It is good here both in the afternoon and in the evening, when the lighting gives the park a fabulous charm in summer and winter.
